Weapons, Top Headgears, Armors, Garments, Shoes and Shields can be refined. Weapons require Oridecon to attempt a refinement, all other equipment requires Elunium. On failure, the refinement level is downgraded by 1.

Refinement Benefits

Refining Weapons provides +5 ATK/MATK per refine.
Refining Armors and Shields provides +3 DEF per refine.
Refining Headgear and Garments provides +3 MDEF per refine.
Refining Boots increases your Movement Speed by 1% per refine.
